The Arcadia condominium is located off Adam Road in Singapore’s District 11, set amid expansive, mature greenery and generous communal spaces. Residents enjoy a full suite of facilities — most notably communal swimming pools with landscaped decks and family-friendly leisure areas.
The resident committee at The Arcadia wanted to reduce the depth of the estate’s resort-style swimming pool, which sloped to 2.4 metres at its deepest. In addition, both the main pool and children’s wading pool had leaks and tile debonding issues.
To mitigate these challenges, Innovez Engineering pre-engineered and prefabricated a custom stainless steel solution for the renovation. Using raised steel structures, the main pool was re-profiled to a level 1.4-metre depth. A stainless steel overlay cladding was installed for both the main pool and children’s wading pool for a superior waterproofing system.
This renovation method minimised demolition, shortened the construction period and reduced disruption for residents. The rejuvenated pools now feature Spanish glass mosaic finishes, a Spanish porcelain-tiled deck, and matching porcelain tile gratings.
