This private residence is located in the east of Singapore, and the homeowner wanted a rooftop lap pool constructed on the third floor of his new house. His biggest concern was potential leaks into the functional areas on the second floor. This was easily addressed with the use of Innovez Engineering’s stainless steel pool system.
The 17 x 2 metre swimming pool was pre-engineered and prefabricated entirely in high-grade, low-carbon stainless steel. The material is lightweight yet provides maximum strength, and is corrosion-resistant.
The pool was fully assembled and pre-plumbed off-site, before it was transported to the client’s house and hoisted up to the roof in one single rugged unit. Only a month was needed to prefabricate the pool at the factory, and three weeks to install and tile the pool on-site. The process would have been significantly longer should a concrete pool have been built, and more considerations would have been needed due to the location.
With its impeccable form and function, this project is an excellent showcase of the best that pool construction technology can offer, and also the benefits that come with stainless steel pools.
